Nissan Reports July Sales in Europe

Nissan Europe reported total
sales of 48,100 vehicles (i) in July 2007, an increase of 8.6%
compared to the same month last year.
This is the fourth consecutive month this fiscal year in which
Nissan sales in Europe have been higher year-on-year. The strongest
performers were the UK, France, Netherlands, Russia, central and
eastern Europe, Belgium plus some independent markets.
Country Highlights
  • For the regions of Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan, Nissan sold 11,709 units in July, registering an increase of 36.5% compared to the same month last year. Year to date, Nissan sold a total of 50,571 units in these countries, up 75.5% compared to the same period last year.
  • In the UK, Nissan sold 6,273 units in July registering an increase of 6.7% compared to the same month last year taking the year to date figure to 26,845.
  • In Spain, Nissan sold 5,820 units in July registering an increase of 3.7% compared to the same month last year. Year to date, Nissan has sold 20,949 vehicles in Spain.
Product Highlights
  • Nissan's compact crossover, QASHQAI, continues its success with 12,349 sales in July.
  • Navara performed well across Europe and was the leader of the pick-up segment across many markets including Spain and France where they both saw a 7.3% segment share.
