Quarterly figures: Bechtle doubles result before income taxes to approximately 8 million euros
Neckarsulm, 12.5.2004. Bechtle has more than doubled result before income taxes compared to the same period during the previous year, posting an increase of approximately 110 percent to 8.1 million euros (previous year: 3.8 mill. euros). Significant contributions to the boost in earnings were made by Swiss companies ARP (consolidated from 01 January 2004) and Comsyt (consolidated from 01 February 2004), which jointly contributed approximately 2.2 million euros. The figures include the PSB Group, which posted break-even earnings.
In comparison with the same period during the previous year, revenues increased 43 percent to 248.4 million euros (previous year: 172.9 mill. euros). ARP and Comsyt accounted for approximately 42 million euros, while the PSB Group contributed approximately 25 million euros. Organic growth was approximately four percent.
Further development will be largely dependent on future macroeconomic developments. The Board of Management anticipates much weaker earnings for the second quarter, particularly due to the lesser number of working days and a greater number of bridge days. Current order receipts give no reason to assume that Bechtle will not achieve the result before income taxes of 4,2 million euros of the second previous quarter.
