New European Toyota Models Offer Gentex Mirror
Zeeland, Michigan (ots/PRNewswire)
Gentex Corporation, the leading supplier of automatic-dimming mirrors to the worldwide automotive industry, has begun shipping interior, automatic-dimming mirrors for the new Toyota Corolla hatchback and Corolla Verso multi-purpose vehicle (MPV). Both vehicles will be sold throughout Europe.
Gentex auto-dimming mirrors automatically darken to reduce glare from the headlamps of vehicles approaching from the rear. The brighter the glare, the darker the mirrors become, making nighttime driving safer.
The auto-dimming mirror will be a standard feature on the Corolla's T Spirit and T Sport models, as well as on the five-door Verso T3 and T Spirit.
"The Toyota brand is an industry benchmark in many vehicle segments, so it's great to see auto-dimming mirrors debuting on these compact vehicles," stated Garth Deur, Gentex executive vice president. "It means the safety benefits afforded by glare-eliminating, auto-dimming mirrors will be experienced by a whole new segment of consumers."
