Anders Eriksson Resigns as CEO of Active 24, Jaap Zuiderveld Appointed as Successor
Oslo, Norway (ots/PRNewswire)
Anders Eriksson has, as of today, resigned from his position as CEO of Active 24 due to differences with the board on execution of the company's strategy. He will remain available to the board for assistance during a transition period. Anders Eriksson has held the position as CEO since April 2004 and during that period he has among other efforts successfully introduced Active 24 on the Oslo Stock Exchange. Jaap Zuiderveld has been appointed new CEO. He previously held the position as Active 24 General Manager Western Europe.
"We appreciate the strong and positive impact Anders Eriksson has made to Active 24 during his time as CEO. The formation of a new strategic platform and vision for the company, integration under a single brand - Active 24, the addition of a strong Czech and thereby Eastern European presence, and the listing on the Oslo Stock Exchange are very important milestones in the company's evolution and help build a strong foundation for the future. We wish continued success for Anders in his next position", said Anthony Bay, Chairman of Active24.
"I appreciate the opportunity to have been part of the development of Active 24 and to have led the company through achievement of some very important milestones. My main responsibility as CEO has been to create shareholder value and I am glad to see the vast interest in our stock, and that the share price has shown a positive trend after the listing in November. I am proud of the accomplishments of the company's management and employees, and am convinced that Active 24 has an exciting future ahead of it. I remain a committed shareholder and will now follow the company from that perspective", said Anders Eriksson.
Active 24 has appointed Jaap Zuiderveld, age 40, as its new CEO. Mr. Zuiderveld has most recently been GM of Active 24's Western Europe Business Unit and part of the executive team of the company. Zuiderveld joined the company in the Netherlands in 2000 and is the longest serving member of the management team. Zuiderveld has more than 18 years of experience in the IT industry with mostly commercial focused positions.
