Karlsruhe (Germany), December 20, 2006 - asknet AG (ISIN: DE0005173306), one of the leading providers of outsourcing solutions for global software distribution via the Internet, has won a new customer for its eDistribution services in Susteen, Inc.. In November, the company, which provides international design software and hardware solutions, specializing in the areas of data communications and mobile computing, migrated its most important online shops, including the US shop, to the asknet technology platform. The major product of the California-based company is the award-winning DataPilot® Suite, a software tool for the synchronization and transfer of data between cell phones and computers. The software has been designed for use with the terminal equipment of leading cell phone manufacturers, such as Nokia, Motorola, Sony Ericsson and Samsung.
With the concluded agreement, asknet has assumed the responsibility for all services from the technical migration of the shops to its own platform and the implementation of the shop functions, as well as the hosting and processing of the transactions, all the way to the actual distribution of the software.
The flexibility of the asknet platform was the key factor in the company's decision to opt for asknet. As Rich Sootkoos, Executive Vice President and CFO of Susteen, Inc. underlines, "the adaptability of the asknet shops in meeting the individual requirements of the different online markets was very convincing and was exactly what we were looking for".
Gerhard Rumpff, CEO of asknet, comments: "In Susteen, we have again been able to convince a major US software manufacturer to partner with asknet. Thus we continue to expand on our customer portfolio in the eDistribution network growth area."
Early this week asknet AG had already announced that it has recruited Nero AG as a major new customer for its eDistribution services.
