August 29, 2008 - asknet AG, one of the leading providers of outsourcing solutions for global software distribution via the Internet (Electronic Software Distribution - ESD) has appointed a new president for its US subsidiary, asknet, Inc., San Francisco.
Aston Fallen, former Managing Director of data encryption specialist Steganos, will join asknet in the role of President of asknet, Inc. on September 1, 2008. Aston Fallen will be responsible for the world-wide sales activities of asknet´s ESD solutions. The US market which accounted for almost 28% of sales in the first half of 2008 is the company´s second largest sales region after Germany and the most important market for ESD solutions world-wide.
Aston Fallen has more than 20 years of international management experience with different technology enterprises. As an American who has lived and worked in Europe for many years, Aston is intimately familiar with both the European and US software markets and thus a real asset to asknet. Most recently he worked as Managing Director of Steganos GmbH, one of asknet´s longstanding customers. At Steganos, the German market leader for data encryption in the consumer segment, Aston Fallen was successfully responsible for the company´s globalization and the expansion of sales from retail to online business.
