October 22, 2008 - The global online shops developed by asknet AG for Panda Security, a leading international developer of anti-virus solutions, has been launched this week. The international customers of the software publisher can choose between 20 different shop languages, 21 payment methods, and 33 currencies. The currency and the current exchange rate are automatically selected to match the chosen language.
asknet is responsible for large portions of the product presentation, the shop operations, and the worldwide processing of transactions up to the point of electronic and physical delivery of the software. In addition, asknet has developed individual, country-specific online marketing strategies for Panda Security and supports the company in the targeted marketing of the Panda product line in the online shops. Working together with asknet, Panda Security plans to pursue its online business more intensively and further expand on an international level. asknet offers the adequate qualifications for these ventures.
"In addition to the reliability of the asknet platform and their international services that take the regional needs of buyers into account, at the time we were pleased by asknet AG´s global partner network. Now we also value the outstanding cooperation and appreciate how quickly and flexibly asknet works," says Juan Santana, CEO of Panda Security. "We believe the customer-friendly user interface will enhance our customers´ experience in our web store and will benefit not only our returning customers but will allow us to win over new customers as well."
pi-consult GmbH represents yet another new client that has taken advantage of asknet´s eDistribution services. The software company, which focuses on Marketing Process optimization, is the publisher of BrandMaker software, a leading marketing resource management system. The company plans to use asknet's Plug'n'Play modules to pursue its SaaS (software as a service) business in a more targeted manner.
"We believe that in the next five years, SaaS applications will represent 50% of all software sales volume, whereas classic software sales models such as licenses, CDs, and downloads will decline over the next ten years to less than 10% of global spending on software," says Mirko Holzer, Managing Director of pi-consult GmbH. "asknet offers us the ability to work flexibly and internationally, with all payment systems at our disposal. Data can be transferred directly and automatically to our systems using the interfaces created by asknet - a big advantage for us."
