Karlsruhe, July 23, 2009 - asknet AG, a leading provider of outsourcing solutions for the global electronic software distribution (ESD) industry, has announced the resignation of CEO Gerald Prior. No agreement was reached on extending Mr. Prior´s employment and management contract, which was due to expire at the end of 2009. The Supervisory Board and Mr. Prior subsequently came to a mutual understanding that releases him from his contract effective July 31, 2009.
The Supervisory Board thanks Mr. Prior for his contribution to the growth and success of asknet AG. "Under Gerald Prior, asknet further improved its international position and attracted strategically important large customers," noted Dr. Joachim Bernecker, Chairman of the Supervisory Board. "The experienced and well-established executive duo of Michael Konrad and Dr. Dietmar Waudig will continue to lead the company along the path of improved performance to arrive at long-term profitability."
Mr. Prior's executive responsibilities in key account management and investor relations will be taken over by Michael Conrad, CFO of asknet AG, starting August 1, 2009. Dr. Dietmar Waudig, COO and founder of asknet AG, will take charge of marketing and sales.
