Karlsruhe, January 18, 2010 - The supervisory board of asknet AG, a leading provider of outsourcing solutions for the global electronic software distribution (ESD) industry, has named a new chairman of the executive board. Starting on January 18, 2010, Michael Scheib will join the board as the new CEO of the company.
Scheib brings to asknet more than 25 years of management experience with different American IT companies. Before joining asknet he served as president and CEO of iET Solutions LLC, a global provider of software solutions for the IT service management market. Prior to iET Solutions, he was senior vice president and general manager of operations for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) with Niku Corp. Before joining Niku, he was executive officer and vice president of European operations for Applix Inc., responsible for overseeing strategic direction and growth of all Applix business lines in the EMEA region. Previously he served in further management roles as managing director for Applix GmbH, Parametric Technology GmbH and as sales manager for CalComp GmbH.

As CEO of asknet AG, Scheib will be responsible for asknet´s strategic direction, holdings, sales, marketing, and communications. Other members of the executive board include Dr. Dietmar Waudig, COO, who remains in charge of technical and product development as well as professional services. Michael Konrad will continue in his position as CFO of the group, responsible for all financial matters as well as customer service and business operations.
