Kodiak VTEM Indicates More Sulphide Bodies, Claim Block Expanded
Vancouver, Canada (ots/PRNewswire)
Kodiak Exploration Limited (the "Company") (KXL.V) is pleased to announce the completion of the VTEM airborne geophysical survey over its 100% controlled Caribou Lake copper-nickel-PGE property near Yellowknife, NWT. The survey completed over 2000 line kilometers and has indicated new sulphide bodies not previously reported (news release dated January 20, 2006) measuring up to 375 metres long. This series of large EM conductors indicates the presence of sulphide bodies collectively in excess of 3.5 kilometres long. The majority are associated with a 9-kilometre mineralized horizon containing nickel-copper sulphides with grabs grading up to 38% nickel, 19.7% copper. Based on this and other new information, Kodiak's geological consultants recommended the staking of an additional 57,000 acres, almost tripling the size of the claim block.
Kodiak is extremely encouraged that the results received to date continue to provide new drill targets. Detailed interpretation of the data is ongoing, and will be used to optimize drill collar locations for the much anticipated drill program.
Kodiak will release further news on both its Caribou Lake and Knucklethumb projects as results become available.
