Over the full year 2005, TOMORROW FOCUS AG had total sales revenues of EUR 53.3 million, representing an increase of 9.2% over the previous year (EUR 48.8 million). In 2005, TOMORROW FOCUS AG had revenue for the fourth quarter, which is traditionally strong, of EUR 16.8 million, representing an increase of around 26% over the same period of the previous year and an increase of around 34% over the third quarter 2005 (EUR 12.5 million). In the financial year 2005, TOMORROW FOCUS AG had earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) of EUR 2.4 million compared to EUR -0.6 million in 2004. Pre-tax earnings (EBT) were EUR 1.1 million, compared to a loss of EUR -2.5 million in the previous year. This represents an increase in pre-tax earnings of EUR 3.6 million. For the first time, TOMORROW FOCUS AG had positive pre-tax earnings in every quarter last year. Segments The Portal division recorded revenues for the fourth quarter 2005 of EUR 11.0 million, representing an increase of 26% over the same period in 2004 (EUR 8.7 million). Pre-tax and interest earnings (EBIT) reached EUR 2.0 million in the fourth quarter, compared to EUR 0.9 million in the same period of the previous year. Over the whole year 2005, revenues were EUR 34.2 million (of which EUR 1.2 million were internal revenues). The increase in external revenues (EUR 33.0 million compared to 29.7 million) was 11.1% over the past year. A positive environment for the online advertising market as a whole and our increased Group focus on portal activities meant that earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) nearly doubled from EUR 2.4 million in the previous year to EUR 4.7 million, an increase of 96%. Pre-tax and interest earnings in the Portal segment were EUR 3.3 million in 2005 compared with EUR 0.6 million in the same period of the previous year. In the Technology segment, TOMORROW FOCUS AG recorded sales of EUR 10.8 million in 2005. External revenues were EUR 6.1 million as of 31 December 2005, compared to EUR 4.7 million for the same period in 2004, an increase of 31%. Internal revenues in the same period were EUR 4.7 million, compared to EUR 6.4 million in 2004. Pre-tax and interest earnings improved from a loss of EUR -0.4 million in 2004 to EUR 0.1 million in 2005. These results include start-up costs of EUR 0.2 million for the newly formed travelnet cruise GmbH, which is expected to contribute significant external revenues and positive earnings as early as 2006. Combined sales revenues from the shareholdings in BELLEVUE AND MORE GmbH (41.7% stake) and Playboy Deutschland Publishing GmbH (50% stake) were EUR 14.4 million in 2005 (2004: 14.6 million) of which EUR 14.1 million were external revenues (2004: EUR 14.4 million). At EUR 0.3 million, revenues were slightly lower than in the previous year, as a result of the reduction of the BELLEVUE AND MORE GmbH shareholding from 50% to 41.7%. Pre-tax and interest earnings (EBIT) doubled compared to the previous year from EUR 0.6 million to EUR 1.4 million in 2005. In the first quarter of the current financial year, advertising bookings in the Portal division of TOMORROW FOCUS AG are already 30% above last years. In a professional strategic review, new areas for growth have been defined, which are to be built on in the current financial year. The strong growth in the online advertising market means that TOMORROW FOCUS AG currently has many development opportunities - particular focus will be put on the expansion of the Groups portals and on developing B2C Internet business models.
