Management Changes / Demag Cranes AG Appoints Aloysius Rauen As New Chairman of the Management Board
Düsseldorf, February 23, 2009. By a resolution of today, the Supervisory Board of Demag Cranes AG has appointed Mr. Aloysius Rauen (52) as a member and as chairman of the Management Board with effect as of May 1, 2009. Mr. Rauen, most recently chairman of the managing directors of Eurofighter Jagdflugzeug GmbH, will follow Mr. Harald Joos (56) as chairman of the Management Board, whose appointment is terminated by mutual consent as of March 31, 2009.
Mr. Joos will leave his office with the Company by mutual consent with the Supervisory Board because of differing views. Since Mr. Joos will at any event not be available after the current term of his office for personal reasons, the Supervisory Board and Mr. Joos have jointly become convinced to implement the change now. Mr. Joos will say his goodbye to the shareholders in the course of the General Meeting on March 03, 2009. The Supervisory Board thanks Mr. Joos for the excellent work he has effected for the Company.
Furthermore, the Supervisory Board has resolved to modify the schedule of responsibilities of the Management Board. Futurely, the chairman of the Management Board will, amongst others, also be responsible for the Services segment; he will furthermore assume the Human Ressources department and the office as labour director. In addition to the Industrial Cranes segment, Mr. Thomas Hagen (46) will futurely also be responsible for the Port Technology segment.
