Standard & Poors raises the rating of BAUER AG

Schrobenhausen, 02 August 2006 - The international rating agency Standard & Poors raised the "BB-/Watch Positive" rating for the construction and engineering corporation BAUER AG, assigned since May 2006, to "BB" with positive outlook last week. "We are happy that the good business development and our successful IPO are now also reflected in our rating", said the chairman Prof. Thomas Bauer. Standard & Poors states that the key reasons for raising the rating are the companys positive business development and successful listing, together with the continuing debt reduction. The rating agency also emphasises the conservative strategy and Bauer's international leading market position as a manufacturer of machinery for specialist foundation engineering and its strong market position in specialist foundation engineering. Standard & Poors also notes Bauer's good geographic diversification.
