Leonardo Venture increases stake in portfolio companies

Leonardo Venture GmbH & Co. KGaA has decided
to make further funds available to two of its shareholdings. ISIS 
sentronics GmbH and MedicalCommunications Soft- und Hardware GmbH are
to receive a total sum of 1.9 million euros. The companies are 
developing highly positively in their respective market environments,
with the effect that Leonardo Venture now deems it logical to 
increase its stakes and grant additional dormant participations.

The manufacturer of functional sensors for industrial measurement and
testing technology ISIS sentronics is to receive funds of 1.3 million
euros. At the same time Leonardo Venture is increasing its stake in 
the company by 3.99 percent, to 49.99 percent. The funds are to be 
deployed for the further development of products and for the 
recruitment, amongst others in the sales department. Medical 
Communications Soft- und Hardware GmbH, whose fair value was amended 
as of September 30, 2008, considerably intensified its sales 
activities in the fourth quarter of last year, and has already 
attained a large proportion of its planned revenues for the 2009 
business year. In order to pre-finance existing orders the provider 
of medical software and hardware solutions is being granted funds of 
0.6 million euros. The stake held by Leonardo Venture is to be 
increased by 14.84 percent, to 49.87 percent.

After Leonardo Venture had to write down two shareholdings completely
in 2008 following a review of the portfolio, the company is now 
focusing on the further development of its existing, promising 
portfolio and on selected fresh investments. Leonardo Venture is 
financing the transactions from its liquid funds. Even following the 
upcoming financing measures, these funds will still be available to a
sufficient degree.
