SYNAXON AG announces preliminary figures for financial year 2008
For the financial year 2008, SYNAXON AG achieved a net income of Eur 1 587 000 (previous financial year Eur 2 283 000 ). This corresponds to an earning per share of EUR 0.45 (previous year: Eur 0.65). Pre-tax earnings were Eur 2 274 000 (previous year: Eur 3 527 000), the planning value of the pre-tax earnings amounted to Eur 2 500 000. The result was burdened by a one-off unscheduled depreciation to the amount of Eur 613 000 on the book value of iTeam Kooperation. This had become necessary as a result of generally lower revenues from contracts with associates. After adjustment for this extraordinary measure, pre-tax earnings were Eur 2 887 000.
Group turnover came to Eur 15 299 000 compared to Eur 16 553 000 in the previous year. The IT business in Germany in 2008 was marked by a further sharp downturn in prices. Despite a growth rate at the same time, this lead to a deterioration in revenues related to sales volume.
The company has further strengthened its investment activity in the preceding financial year and invested as scheduled in the EGIS and BPM software solutions developed in-house, as well as in the e-commerce project, snippr.de. In 2008, at Eur 1 268 000, its capitalised services were more than double the value of the previous year's (Eur 569 000).
The decision on the proposal for the disposition of the dividend from the financial year 2008 is to be taken at the accounts review meeting on 26/03/2009.
