Next Generation Networks (NGN) and All IP networks put heavy demands on cost efficiency and scalable products. Componentization of network equipment for future telecom networks is a vital part in meeting these demands.
Ari Vanhanen, President in TietoEnator Telecom & Media, said: "We emphasise the strategic importance of lowering the cost for Next Generation Networks. In that effort, telecom components will play a vital role. I am proud that TietoEnator is in the frontline of providing current and future customers cost-efficient products for NGN and All IP networks."
The key benefits of TietoEnator's Signaling products are carrier grade durability, redundancy and highly scalable software and hardware platforms based on our proven signaling architecture. The current signaling products from TietoEnator are included in major network equipment manufacturers' products used world-wide.
IMS Signaling Middleware provides a platform-independent and portable control plane solution for nodes in the IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS), such as Call Session Control Functions (CSCF), IMS Application Servers and Charging Functions. Together with TietoEnator's solutions for SS7 signaling, it is an ideal building-block for developing convergence solutions such as signaling gateways, bridging the gap between legacy and all-IP networks.
Signaling/Protocol Gateway's are important components in the next generation of networks and service platforms. The Gateway provide interconnectivity between different types of signaling networks, access networks and transport networks, allowing integration of legacy equipment with state-of-the-art next generation IP-based networks.
The new signalling products are launched at 3GSM in Barcelona at 4.00 pm CET, 13 February, Hall2, stand 2E55.
