Büdelsdorf, 13 May 2009 - Following the debitel acquisition, which was concluded in mid-2008, freenet AG managed, in a tense market environment, to increase its revenue to 912.0 million euros in Q1/2009, compared with 376.4 million euros (adjusted*) in Q1/2008.

A cash flow from operating activities of 115.9 million euros has been generated in Q1/2009.
*The previous year´s figures cited here are retrospectively adjusted figures to reflect the switch in reporting the costs of customer acquisition and retention, and the application of IFRS 5 for `discontinued operations´.
