Management Changes/Annual & Special Corporate Meetings
Büdelsdorf, 1 July 2011 (euro adhoc) - In yesterday´s session, the Supervisory
Board of freenet AG elected Mr. Maarten Henderson as its new chairman.
The Netherlands native took office immediately, replacing Mr. Thorsten Kraemer.
Maarten Henderson has sat on freenet´s Supervisory Board since the Annual
General Meeting 2009.
Maarten Henderson studied in Hamburg and worked for the Philips group for many
years, most recently as CFO of Philips Kommunikations Industrie AG. From 2000 to
2004, he worked at the Dutch telecoms company KPN, also as CFO, and therefore
brings a comprehensive telecommunications industry expertise to his new role.
After KPN, Henderson held positions including CFO at Nuon NV, one of the
Netherlands´ two major energy providers; CFO at Getronics NV, a publicly listed
international IT company; and various management and supervisory board positions
internationally. Henderson lives in Hamburg with his family.
