Düsseldorf, December 11, 2008 - The Supervisory Board of Versatel AG, Berlin, ISIN: DE000A0M2ZK2, has consented to the acquisition of Media Home GmbH & Co. KG, Essen and of MediaHome Verwaltungs GmbH, Essen by Versatel Media GmbH. Versatel Media GmbH is a joint venture of Versatel Kabel GmbH and Life Science GmbH, a 100% subsidiary of Corfina AG, Frankfurt/Main. MediaHome was founded as a joint venture of GAGFAH Immobilien-Management GmbH (GAGFAH M) and TCC Tele Communication Company mbH in 2001. MediaHome is a level 4 cable operator with 81,000 reachable households. Versatel accounts for EUR 13 million of the purchase price through a shareholder loan due to the structure of the joint venture. The acquisition still requires regulatory approval.
