EANS-Adhoc: Versatel AG to dispose of its cable business
ad-hoc disclosure pursuant to section 15 of the WpHG transmitted by euro adhoc with the aim of a Europe-wide distribution. The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement.

Düsseldorf, 29 June 2010 - Today, Versatel AG has sold all shares in Versatel Kabel GmbH including its subsidiaries Versatel Media GmbH, MediaHome Verwaltungs GmbH, Versatel Telekabel Halle GmbH, Versatel Telekabel GmbH, AKF Betreibungs- und Verwaltungsgesellschaft GmbH, KSP Kabel Service Prenzlau GmbH, IKS - ImmoKabelService GmbH, Deutsche Netzmarketing GmbH to the investor Chequers Capital, Paris. Today´s signing of the sale and purchase agreement took place in consent with the Supervisory Board of Versatel AG. The purchase price amounts EUR 66 million. Furthermore, a Wholesale-Deal of a value of EUR 5.5 million and an accumulated revenue of EUR 8.8 million was agreed on between Versatel AG and the disposed subsidiary Versatel Kabel GmbH. In selling the subsidiaries named above, Versatel AG retreats completely from end-customer business in cable.
The transaction still has to be approved of by the German cartel office.
