Goodwill-Impairment in Residential Segment

Berlin, March 9th 2011. Because of the decreasing development of the German Residential DSL market Versatel AG has reduced the expectations for the future business development of the Residential segment. Therefore, Versatel AG intends to depreciate an amount of 68.6 million Euro as Residential segment related Goodwill. The impairment will be effected as of December 31st 2010. The impairment reduces the EAT. Adjusted EBITDA and Free Cashflow remain unaffected.
