phion AG acquires Swiss Visonys AG
phion AG, listed on the mid market of Vienna Stock Exchange (ISIN AT0000PHION3), and headquartered in Innsbruck, Eduard-Bodem-Gasse 1, A-6020, acquires 100 % of the shares of Visionys AG, a Swiss provider of IT security products. A corresponding agreement was signed today, 16th June 2008, in Zurich. The purchase price, which will not be disclosed and which includes a performance-related component, was paid in cash. Visonys has 20 employees and is headquartered in Zurich. phion AG plans to keep the acquired company as a separate operational unit.
With the acquisition of Visonys, phion AG reinforces its strategic growth plans. In view to the fact that it complements and expands phion´s product portfolio and creates new cross-selling opportunities, phion expects an increase in sales. The acquisition also strengthens phion´s market position in the field of network security.
