Dodge Continues to Support FIA GT and FIA GT3 European Racing Series

- Dodge continues its partnership with SRO FIA GT and GT3 for 2007 as the
      Official Car Supplier
    - Viper SRT10 race cars won eight out of 10 races in 2006
Dodge brand continues as the Official Car Supplier to the FIA GT
and FIA GT3 European Championships for 2007. These international
Championships showcase race-prepared versions of the world's most
powerful and desirable supercars, providing spectacular racing and
entertainment.
"Building on the success we had in 2006, Dodge maintains its
relationship with SRO and the sponsorship of the FIA GT and FIA GT3
races in 2007," said Stephane Labous, Director - International
Marketing and Communications, Chrysler Group. "GT3 racing matches
Dodge brand attributes, and Viper especially well, making this a
perfect motorsports match. We want to thank our racing teams in
Europe for their enthusiasm that make our participation in this
series possible."
Dodge will provide a fleet of six support vehicles for use on and
off the race circuit at each round of the FIA GT and FIA GT3
Championships during the coming season, which starts on May 6 with
the Silverstone Supercar Showdown in England.
Official Dodge cars will include:
    1 Dodge Viper SRT10 lead car
    2 Dodge Nitro as course vehicles and media shuttles
    1 Dodge Caliber as a VIP shuttle
    2 Dodge Chargers as medical car and safety cars
2006 was the first year that Dodge sponsored the FIA GT and FIA
GT3 series. During that season, the competing Dodge Viper SRT10 race
cars won a race at eight of the 10 races, making it a very successful
year for the teams.
Dodge Brand
With a U.S. market share of 6 per cent, Dodge is the Chrysler
Group's best-selling brand and the fifth-largest nameplate in the
U.S. automotive market. In 2006, Dodge sold more than 1.3 million
(1,345,517) vehicles in the global market. The Dodge global portfolio
includes a range of cars, trucks, minivans and SUVs.
The expansion of the Dodge brand in markets outside North America
helped raise its year-over-year sales 185 per cent and close 2006
with 30,527 units. Dodge Caliber spearheaded the Dodge brand's
expansion in 2006, and it is followed by the Dodge Nitro, Avenger and
the high-performance Caliber SRT4 in 2007.
