Montabaur, April 17, 2009. AdLINK Internet Media AG (AdLINK Group) today announced its consolidated figures for the first quarter of 2009. Although the market for online advertising remains difficult, business progressed according to the company´s expectations.
Consolidated sales reached EUR 52.0 million, compared with EUR 57.1 million in the same period last year. In view of the far more favorable global conditions for online advertising in the first quarter of 2008, earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) fell as expected by 43%, from EUR 5.3 million to EUR 3.0 million. Earnings before taxes (EBT) fell by 55%, from EUR 4.0 million to EUR 1.8 million.
The AdLINK Group expects 2009 to remain a difficult year for all online marketers. Based on current market conditions and the development to date, the Management Board confirms its forecast for 2009 and expects sales revenue of around EUR 200 million and EBT of around EUR 8 million.
