United Internet and Drillisch raise freenet stake
Montabaur, December 13, 2007. United Internet AG (ISIN DE0005089031) and Drillisch AG acquired further shares in freenet AG via the holding company in which they each own a 50% stake, MSP Holding GmbH.
Together with the freenet shares already held by MSP Holding, the approx. 4.07% stake previously held directly by Drillisch and contributed today to MSP Holding and the shares purchased today, United Internet and Drillisch now own around 20.05% of freenet AG´s capital stock via MSP Holding.
With this expansion of its (indirect) investment in freenet AG, United Internet continues to pursue a strategic positioning as part of the expected consolidation of the German DSL market. United Internet and Drillisch are thus keeping all options open, especially with regard to a further increase in their stake in freenet AG.
