Basel (ots)

How and in what form can media companies partner with the Eurovision Song Contest? The media partnership strategy has been finalised, the categories and conditions set out, and interested media companies can now apply to be Eurovision media partners by submitting their concepts between now and 20 December 2024.

The Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Basel promises to be a celebration for the whole of Switzerland. It will promote a feeling of togetherness, create unforgettable experiences, and touch and move people. Media partnerships can and should help bring Eurovision to life beyond the coverage of the host broadcaster SRG.

Who is allowed to use the official Eurovision logo for which content? Who can set up a mobile production unit for their TV or radio programmes in the Eurovision Village or in the centre of Basel at Marktplatz or Barfüsserplatz? And how can Eurovision be successfully brought to life for audiences across all media? The ESC project team has drawn up its media partnership strategy and is now inviting all interested media companies - subject to a number of conditions and criteria - to become part of the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 and to bring this major event to their communities.

A focus on creativity, originality and added value

Established media outlets with a minimum coverage of 20,000 are eligible to apply for a media partnership; individuals are not eligible. The application concept should set out the media company's goals, the mutual added value they promise both to the ESC and to themselves, their motivation for wanting to work with Eurovision, the services they intend to offer, as well as their reach, target group, potential output channels, region, and language. After reviewing the feasibility and fit of the concepts submitted and once approved, the media companies will be contacted and the next steps mapped out. Submitting a concept is therefore no guarantee of a partnership - the focus is on concepts that deliver creativity, originality and added value.

Concepts can be submitted until Friday 20 December 2024 to partnerships@esc2025.swiss
