Tunc Holding AG: first telecommunications project in Albania

Tunc Telekomünikasyon, the Turkish subsidiary of Tunc Holding AG, expands its business at GSM technology into Albania. On 31 January and on 05 February 2008 two contracts with a total volume of US $ 7.450.385,- have been signed with Huawei Technologies Albania SH.P.K. The contracts contain site preperation including power supply and the following turnkey implementation as well as supply of required equippment for Albania Eagle Mobile GSM Projects. Tunc Telekomünikasyon A.S. has in addition submitted a bidding document to Huawei Technologies Albania SH.P.K for an operation and maintenance works agreement. This contract would be worth an additional US $ 1.475.000,-.
"According to the present situation, Tunc Telekomünikasyon A.S. will be operating among Albania in countries like Dubai, Kuwait, Uzbekstan, Nepal, Qatar, Cambodia, Laos, Burundi, during this year", this is what Bülent Recepoglu, CEO of Tunc Holding AG said when asked about expansion plans.
Tunc Holding AG has been founded in November 2007 and provides through its eight (with Delta Telecom Albania) subsidiaries engineering and support services in the area of telecommunications systems. The Tunc Holding subsidiaries are active in eight countries in Asia Minor, Western and Central Asia as well as in Eastern Europe. Tunc Telekomünikasyon A.S. as operational nerve centre of the group is located in Ankara, Turkey. The Turkish subsidiary operates as highly qualified provider in the GSM sector since 1992. The broad range of services includes from site survey and infrastructure to the erection and maintenance of telecommunications systems. Since 1996, the activities have been continuously expanded to include the area of electricity distribution systems with associated services, renewable energy and internet technology.
