Last Tuesday, 25th March 2008, Tunc Telekomünikasyon - the Turkish subsidiary of Tunc Holding AG - has signed a contract with Nokia Siemens Networks (www.nokiasiemensnetworks.com) on the collaboration for the mobile network of Coscom LLC JV in Uzbekistan. The contract comprises a value of US $ 15 m. Delta Telekom (Ergashev Str. 9, Tashkent), a subsidiary of Turkish Tunc Telekomünikasyon, which was already founded at the end of November 2007 in order to prepare the Coscom project, will handle the work on site. Aside from the preparation of 250 sites, their power supply, and the following turnkey implementation, Delta Telekom will also provide the required equipment for this project. It is expected to increase the volume of the contract during the course of this project.
As one of the leaders in the Uzbek telecommunications market Coscom LLC JV (http://www.coscom.uz/ru, 118, Vokhidov Str., Tashkent, Uzbekistan) builds up a countrywide new-technology network while replacing the existing network and expanding the current network coverage and capacity. For this operation Nokia Siemens Networks was assigned. The planned network will be EDGE capable (Enhanced Data Rates for GSM Evolution - a development of the GSM Technology). The whole project is worth about US $ 152 m and will last for two years.

The services include a broad range from site survey and infrastructure to the implementation and maintenance of telecommunications systems. Since 1996 the activities have been continuously expanded to include the area of electricity distribution systems with associated services, renewable energy and internet technology.
