Vienna/Frankfurt, 20 August 2008. C-QUADRAT Investment AG (ISIN AT0000613005) concluded the first half of 2008 with fee and commission income of EUR 21.2 million, profit before tax of EUR 3.7 million and a net profit for the period of EUR 2.9 million. Due to the difficult market environment, the record results of the first half of 2007 were not achieved. However, the fee generating assets were increased to EUR 4.8 billion in spite of the market trend thanks to well-positioned sales and good performance of the C-QUADRAT funds.
"We have succeeded in compensating for the reduction in performance fees and contributions of associated companies as far as possible. Despite the negative market environment, we have continued to invest in sales, so that our growth is on an even wider basis in the future," commented C-QUADRAT founder and Management Board member Alexander Schütz on the interim results.
