Vienna Commercial Court suspends voting
rights of AvW Gruppe AG and appoints trustee

Vienna/Frankfurt, 05.05.2009. C-QUADRAT Investment AG has been notified today that, at the request of the Austrian Financial Market Authority, the Vienna Commercial Court has ordered the suspension of voting rights in respect of all shares held in C-QUADRAT Investment AG by AvW Gruppe AG, FN 206508p, (court decision dated 30.04.2009, pursuant to Section 11 (5) 3 of the Austrian Securities Supervision Act (WAG) 2007).
The court order remains in force until the shares in question have been purchased by a third party, or until the Vienna Commercial Court has stated that the cause for the order no longer applies.
The Vienna Commercial Court also appointed attorney at law Michael Enzinger as trustee for the shares and transferred authority to exercise the voting rights of AvW Gruppe AG to said trustee.
