POPOVA TO EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT TEAM
Jersey, 7 October, 2013: Atrium European Real Estate Limited (VSE/Euronext:
ATRS) ("Atrium" or the "Group"), a leading owner, operator and developer of
retail real estate and shopping centres in Central and Eastern Europe, is
pleased to announce that it has promoted Ljudmila Popova, its Head of Business
Development & Investor Relations, to the Group Executive Management Team with
immediate effect.
Ljudmila joined Atrium in April 2009 as the Group's Financial Analyst working
alongside the CEO and CFO and was initially responsible for valuations. Since
then she has taken on a number of additional responsibilities and currently
oversees all of the Group's capital markets activity, investor and bondholder
relations. Ljudmila also heads the Group's research department. During her
four and a half years with the Group, Ljudmila has worked closely with the CEO
and the rest of the management team on a number of strategic projects, which
have been fundamental to the stabilisation and turnaround of the Group.
Prior to joining Atrium, Ljudmila was an equity research analyst at Kempen & Co,
a specialist merchant bank in the Netherlands, where she focused on real estate
companies, with large exposures in Central and Eastern Europe, including Atrium.
Ljudmila has a Master's and a Bachelor's degree in Econometrics from the
University of Amsterdam.
Rachel Lavine, chief executive officer of Atrium, said: "Ljudmila has worked
extensively with the senior management team over the past few years and was
involved in a number of important strategic projects for the company. She has
made an important contribution to the turnaround of Atrium and this promotion is
