Notification in line with Article 26 of the Securities Trading Act
In two letters dated September 18, 2007, Janus Capital Management(USA)informed Arcandor AG about the following:
First Letter "We hereby give notice pursuant to Section 21, paragraph 1 of WpHG, that on 11 September 2007 our voting interest in Arcandor AG exceeded the threshold of 3% and amounts to 3.05% (6,628,633 voting rights) on this day. 3.05% of the voting rights (6,628,633 voting rights) are attributable to us in accordance with sec. 22 para. (1) sent. (1) no. (6) of the WpHG."
Second Letter "We hereby give notice pursuant to Section 21, paragraph 1 of WpHG, that on 14 September 2007 our voting interest in Arcandor AG exceeded the threshold of 5% and amounts to 5.54% (12,036,216 voting rights) on this day. 5.54% of the voting rights (6,628,633 voting rights) are attributable to us in accordance with sec. 22 para. (1) sent. (1) no. (6) of the WpHG."
