Neuhausen am Rheinfall / Schweiz - LifeWatch AG (SIX Swiss Exchange: LIFE), der
führende Anbieter für drahtlose Herzüberwachungen in den USA, gibt heute die
endgültige aussergerichtliche Einigung mit dem Office of the Inspector General
of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services ("OIG") und dem
US-Justizministerium bekannt.

Während der gesamten Untersuchung hat LifeWatch vollumfänglich mit dem OIG und
dem US-Justizministerium kooperiert, aber gleichzeitig jegliches Fehlverhalten
von sich gewiesen. Bereits im Dezember 2011 hatte LifeWatch über eine
prinzipielle Einigung mit dem OIG berichtet und konnte die Vereinbarung jetzt
auch rechtsgültig zu den bereits genannten Bedingungen unterzeichnen.
Und das US-Justizministerium stellt dazu offiziell fest: "Die finanziellen
Forderungen gründen ausschliesslich auf den Vorwürfen und stellen keine
Schuldanerkenntnis dar".
Um schon pro-aktiv alle Bundesvorschriften zu erfüllen, hat LifeWatch eine
erfahrene Beratungsfirma engagiert, um bei LifeWatch ein Konformitätsprogramm
einzuführen. Das Konformitätsprogramm wird von einem Compliance Officer des
Unternehmens überwacht. Als Teil der Einigung hat sich LifeWatch gegenüber dem
OIG zu einer fünf Jahre gültigen Lauterkeitsvereinbarung verpflichtet.
Bei seinen Dienstleistungen wird LifeWatch den Ärzten und ihren Patienten
weiterhin das höchste Niveau anbieten.
