GENEVA, April 2, 2014 -- Weatherford International Ltd. (NYSE / Euronext Paris /
SIX: WFT) today informs its shareholders that a Form 8-K has been filed with the
U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC"). The Form 8-K includes
information regarding Weatherford's entry into a merger agreement with a wholly
owned subsidiary in order to change its place of incorporation from Switzerland
to Ireland, an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders to approve the
merger agreement and related ancillary matters, as well as the delisting sought
from SIX Swiss Exchange and NYSE Euronext Paris in connection with the merger
agreement.
