World Radio Switzerland secures future and announces major changes to programme line-up
Geneva (ots)
Three years after its launch, World Radio Switzerland is expanding its programme line-up and coverage of Switzerland.
WRS, the English-speaking radio station of the Swiss Broadcasting Corporation (SSR SRG), is extremely pleased to announce that it has increased its programming offer through new partnerships with internationally renowned public service broadcasters National Public Radio, American Public Media and Public Radio International. Long-standing partner BBC World Service continues to provide international news and a variety of programming.
Through these new partnerships, WRS is adding an extra 27 hours a week of quality public service programming to complement its mission of informing listeners about Switzerland.
With studios in Geneva, Zurich and Bern - and its funding secured by SRG SSR idée suisse - WRS is also expanding its reach across the country. We now count 53'000 listeners daily, according to Radio Control.
To mark our third anniversary, we invite you to a short presentation of WRS, followed by a cocktail and tour of our Geneva studios.
