industry at the European Coatings Show 2013 (ECS) in Nuremberg, Germany from
March 19 to 21. True to the motto "Join the Oxo People", Oxea invites customers
to discuss their applications and needs with its top specialists. At the Oxea
stand 516 in hall 1 visitors can discover how Oxea can contribute to develop
their business.
Oxea makes available over 1.3 million tons of its total production capacity to
customers, rendering the company the largest oxo chemicals producer for the oxo
merchant market overall. And Oxea continues to grow: In 2012, the company has
strategically invested 96 million Euros into the construction of new production
plants, upgrades and into significant expansions of its existing facilities -
aimed to improve its technological edge even further and to better serve the
needs of its customers. A high-performance specialty esters plant in Nanjing,
China, scheduled to be completed at the end of 2013, will further enhance Oxea's
global reach.
As one of its ECS product highlights, Oxea showcases TCD Alcohol DM: "With a
focus on high performance, this highly versatile molecule can be used in a broad
variety of coating applications due to its unique properties," said Dr. Ina
Puscasu, Global Marketing Manager Polyols at Oxea. "Amongst others, TCD Alcohol
DM is suitable for the preparation of high-performance hard surface coatings,
such as protective coatings for touch panels. The molecule provides elasticity
combined with hardness and high transparency," she added.
Another key theme at ECS will be Oxea's Oxsoft range of phthalate-free and
VOC-free plasticizers. With these, Oxea serves the trend towards eco-friendly
coatings that are equal in efficiency and performance to conventional systems.
Oxsoft products can substitute them without need for reformulation and they are
ideally suited for applications such as toy coatings, floorings, wall coverings,
PVCs with food contact, and many other uses.
Oxea will present its extensive range of products for the coatings industry.
Products in the show include well-established key raw materials for resins like
Trimethylolpropane (TMP), Neopentylglycol (NPG), and many more. Oxea's highly
