Annual & Special Corporate Meetings
Wettenberg (euro adhoc) - (Wettenberg, June 14, 2012) - The Annual General
Meeting of PVA TePla AG, Wettenberg, a manufacturer of silicon crystallization
systems as well as vacuum and high-temperature systems, was held yesterday at
the Gießen Congress Center. The items on the agenda were passed with a large
majority and 47% of shareholders were in attendance.
In his speech to the shareholders and guests, the Chairman of the Management
Board of PVA TePla Dr. Arno Knebelkamp discussed fiscal year 2011. Both the
consolidated sales revenues for 2011 of around EUR 133 million and the EBIT
margin of 10.3% - again at a pleasingly high level for a manufacturer of
equipment and machinery - were slightly higher than expected. The company thus
followed on seamlessly from the quality of the previous years' results in 2011,
despite the crisis in the photovoltaics industry. The major strategic goal of
establishing an additional product area in the Industrial Systems division as a
fourth pillar alongside the existing activities in sintering, brazing and
graphite processing was also described. CFO Arnd Bohle then discussed the
consolidated financial statements for 2011 and the figures for the first quarter
of the current fiscal year and concluded by giving the shareholders an outlook
for the current fiscal year. The forecast of consolidated annual sales revenues
of EUR 120 million - EUR 130 million and an EBIT margin of 8% - 10% was
confirmed.
