Cloppenburg, March 17, 2011 - Derby Cycle AG has published its full-year forecast for FY 2010/11 approximately six weeks following its IPO. On the basis of orders already on hand from specialist retailers, the Executive Board anticipates full-year sales revenues of at least EUR 200 million for the financial year ending September 30, 2011 (previous year: EUR 173.2 million). Derby Cycle expects that its EBIT margin will improve to between 7 percent and 8 percent (previous year: 7.0 percent).
This reflects growth of more than 15 percent in terms of sales revenues, and an acceleration of the average growth dynamism that the company has reported over recent years. Particular contributors to this growth are the demand for electro-bicycles and sports bikes as well as the company's advancing internationalisation.
The current forecast of the minimum sales revenue level includes a certain measure of caution regarding continuing macroeconomic trends, which the management regards as appropriate considering current events in Japan.
