Dr. Philipp Roesler Joins the Brainloop AG Supervisory Board

Brainloop AG, the leading DACH market provider of cloud-based solutions for exchanging highly sensitive documents, is delighted to announce that former German Vice Chancellor and Federal Minister of Economics and Technology, Dr. Philipp Roesler will join its Supervisory Board effective July 1, 2020.
Dr. Roesler's unique international experience will be a strong asset to Brainloop and its customers who rely on Brainloop's platform every day to protect their most sensitive data. Brainloop AG is expanding its expertise in the areas of data protection and modern governance in the German-speaking market with this addition.
Dr. Roesler served as German Vice Chancellor and Federal Minister of Economics and Technology from 2011 to 2013, as well as Federal Minister of Health from 2009 to 2011. Since leaving active politics, Dr. Roesler has remained engaged in initiatives that advance global economic cooperation, first as a member of the Managing Board of the World Economic Forum in Geneva and later as the Managing Director of a New York-based global charitable organization that he led until early 2019. Since then he has been focused on his other international mandates.
Dr. Roesler has extensive experience serving on a variety of corporate and not-for-profit boards, including current appointments at Arabesque S-Ray, Bertelsmann Foundation, Jacobs University Bremen, Siemens Healthineers AG, and Fortum Corporation.
Dr. Roesler trained as an army medical officer in the German Bundeswehr and earned a Ph.D. in cardiac surgery from the Hannover Medical School. He also holds honorary doctoral degrees in economics from the University of Hanoi and in international relations from the University of Cambodia.
