Subtitle: S&T realizing E-health project in Romania worth millions
Contracts/Order
S&T forms part of a consortium of suppliers that will deliver in 2015 items
worth some EUR 3 million. These items will be used by the "eHealth" project
being pursued by Romania's health ministry.
The eHealth project will equip locally-operating physicians with such state of
mobile medical technologies as spirometers, ultra sonographers, ECGs and blood
analysis devices. All these can be operated via portable computers. The
technologies supplied along with the equipment will enable physicians to consult
- via video conferencing and similar methods of communication - with specialists
on the diagnosis and treatment of ailments providing medical services with
higher mobility in the field. This project will thus improve the provision of
health care in rural areas.
S&T is developing drivers and interfaces for the systems being deployed. The
project is being initially implemented in three of 41 counties in Romania.
