Juice Technology moves into new headquarters
Swiss technology company Juice Technology has grown immensely in the seven years since its founding. All departments now enjoy more space under one shared roof.
Juice Technology AG, producer of electric charging stations and software and the market leader in mobile charging stations for electric cars, has been continuously growing in size since 2014. With demand rising and its portfolio expanding, sales volume has been tripling annually – and even doubled last year during the Covid-19 pandemic. This growth has also driven a steady expansion in the workforce headcount. This new location provides the space Juice urgently needs to continue growing successfully.
Juice’s new four-storey building, with its expansive glass front façade and over 6,000 square metres of floorspace, offers generous room for all departments, including the research and development centre and complete storage and logistics facility.
“Expansive, open views, lots of natural light, and airy open-plan office spaces create an incomparable working atmosphere where we can further expand our market leadership,” explains a delighted Christoph Erni, CEO of Juice Technology AG. Employees and visitors are greeted on the ground floor by a 15-metre-long bar tended by an in-house barista. Skilfully served speciality coffees and freshly prepared lunch menus leave nothing to be desired. Contrary to the infamous “rubbish in, rubbish out” principle in the IT world, whereby nothing good comes from poor quality input, Erni also provides premium sustenance for the good of his crew: “We pay particular attention to offering top-quality food and beverages,” adding with laugh, “We’ve yet to figure out whether this is why so many gourmets work at Juice, or why everyone works so well!”
The new headquarters are located only 2 km from the company’s previous research and development location, so Zurich Airport remains right nearby.
An innovation location for the future
When Tesla’s first Model S electric cars arrived in Switzerland, resourceful founder and CEO Christoph Erni saw the writing on the wall and laid the foundation for the company Juice Technology which has proven so enormously successful ever since. One of the sector’s few full-range providers offering everything from charging solutions to software, Juice today develops and markets a complete portfolio of charging infrastructure from a single source.
The paradigm shift has meanwhile swept across the entire industry: All major auto manufacturers today embrace the need to electrify their fleets. While, not long ago, e-cars were still considered an expensive luxury for a few enthusiasts, a growing number of affordable vehicles are now hitting the market. Yet, efforts to expand charging infrastructure are not keeping pace.
Juice has made it possible to charge electric vehicles quickly and easily even when no fast-charger stations are in sight. With its JUICE BOOSTER 2, Juice is the undisputed global market leader in portable 22-kW charging stations. But time doesn’t stand still, and there are so many exciting news ideas for further simplifying the e-pilots’ world of electromobility just waiting.

The move to the new headquarters located in the former facility of the Frauenfelder furniture firm at Kasernenstrasse 2 in the Swiss town of Bachenbülach marks the opening of a new chapter in Juice company history.
