Juice Technology’s Booster 2, Charger 2 and Phaser now officially offered in Hyundai’s configurator
The Swiss electric charging station producer is now supplying Hyundai Switzerland with Juice charging stations for four all-electric models and three plug-in hybrids.
Juice Technology AG, producer of electric charging stations and software and the market leader in portable charging stations for electric vehicles, is expanding its partnership with Hyundai Switzerland. Juice charging stations are now officially integrated in Hyundai Switzerland’s configurator, and also available at the Accessories page on Hyundai’s website.
The transformational trend from fossil fuels to alternative drive systems, under way for quite some time already, is now firmly anchored in Hyundai’s strategy. The manufacturer’s broad range of electrified vehicle models is also testimony to this shift, with three out of four Hyundai models already available today in hybrid- or all-electric-drive versions.
JUICE BOOSTER 2 and IONIQ 5 – a dream team
Hyundai Switzerland is intensifying its collaboration with Juice Technology as part of Hyundai’s electrification offensive. The KONA models Electric and Electric Facelift so highly popular in Switzerland, the plug-in hybrid variants of the IONIQ, TUCSON and SANTA FE, and the IONIQ Electric as well as the IONIQ 5 – recently crowned “Swiss Car of the Year 2022” – are now directly configurable with the JUICE BOOSTER 2, JUICE CHARGER 2 and JUICE PHASER. Accompanied by the fitting adapters and accessories, e-car drivers now have a complete, care-free package enabling long-range driving and fast charging right from the start.

With the JUICE BOOSTER 2, Hyundai customers now also come away with a mobile wallbox when they purchase a car. Thanks to comprehensive adapter sets, they're now able to plug into any conventional power socket-outlet to recharge. The JUICE CHARGER 2 is also a charging station well suited for use in public charging facilities, allowing e-drivers to conveniently pay by credit card, and not just with dedicated e-charging cards like chargers from other providers require. Juice’s range of offerings rounds off with a charging accelerator geared to all single-phase-charging e-cars.
All devices at a glance
- JUICE BOOSTER 2: This versatile charging station allows electric cars to charge from any conventional household or industrial socket outlet anywhere in the world. The charger is equipped for automatic detection of socket input current, is waterproof and dustproof (to protection rating IP 67), and driveover-resistant to wheel loads of up to three tonnes. JUICE BOOSTER 2 is the world’s first portable charging station in the 22 kW class to have been tested by TÜV SÜD for compliance with IEC 62752 Ed. 1 2016 including AMD1 2018.
- JUICE CHARGER 2: This intelligent wall-mounted charging station fits elegantly into any setting: indoors or outdoors, for private or public use. It allows single, 2- or 3-phase charging at currents ranging up to 32 amps, and is compatible with all electric vehicles fitted with a Type-2 or Type-1 charge port connector. The JUICE CHARGER 2 is fitted with integral residual current detection and a calibrated electricity meter certified to the European Measuring Instruments Directive (MID), and equipped for the smartJUICE omni-dynamic charging and load management system. The housing is splashproof-protected and dustproof to ingress protection rating IP65. The wallbox is simple and quick to install, and eligible in Germany for subsidisation from the KfW development bank’s promotion program.
- JUICE PHASER: With this charging accelerator, single-phase electric cars can recharge almost twice as quickly. The JUICE PHASER enables charging with 25 amps and 5.8 kW (instead of the maximum 3.7 kW allowed to date) – drawing only 16 amps from the grid via each of two phases – without risk of causing any unbalanced loads. Its housing is splashproof-protected and dustproof to ingress protection rating IP65. The JUICE BOOSTER 2 can be connected to the JUICE CONNECTOR on the JUICE PHASER.
- Hyundai models: The car models that can be combined with the Juice charging stations in the Hyundai configurator are the KONA Electric and Electric Facelift, IONIQ Electric and IONIQ 5, and the plug-in hybrid versions of the IONIQ, TUCSON and SANTA FE.
