Juice congratulates: World record ride with the J+ BOOSTER 2
From pole to pole in an electric car with charging power from Juice
Juice Technology AG – manufacturer of charging stations and software, leader in mobile charging stations for electric vehicles, congratulates Chris and Julie Ramsey on the official entry of their «Pole to Pole EV Expedition» in the Guinness Book of Records.
In an all-electric Nissan Ariya, the pair became the first people to master the journey from the Arctic to Antarctica in an electric car. The journey began in northern Canada at the «1823 Magnetic North Pole» – a historical reference point based on the reconstructed position of the magnetic pole in 1823 – and ended at the geographic South Pole in Antarctica. They crossed 14 countries on three continents and covered between 29,000 and 33,000 kilometres, depending on the source. This unprecedented endeavour was honoured with two Guinness World Records: the first expedition with an electric vehicle from the Magnetic North Pole to the Geographic South Pole and the record for the longest distance travelled by an electric car in Antarctica.
Juice was along for the ride: at numerous charging points, the mobile J+ BOOSTER 2 – the US version of the well-known JUICE BOOSTER 2 – ensured that the adventure never ran out of juice.
Christoph Erni, founder and CEO of Juice Technology AG, is delighted: «This expedition is the best proof that electromobility works under all conditions – even at the end of the world. We are proud that our J+ BOOSTER 2 was able to impress here with its performance, robustness and reliability.»
We take our hats off to this extraordinary pioneering achievement and are delighted to have been part of this record-breaking journey.

About Juice Technology Juice Technology AG, with its headquarters in Bachenbülach (near Zurich airport, Switzerland), is a globally active manufacturer of charging solutions for electric vehicles. The company’s extensive product portfolio, with AC and DC charging stations from light mobile devices through to large quick chargers, makes it one of a very small number of full-range providers in the industry. Juice saves on time, effort and costs by using its own consistent software architecture. Solutions such as omni-dynamic load management, payment by credit card or the open interface backend are therefore available throughout the product range. The Juice Group has global reach with its own sites, subsidiaries and affiliates.
