Thrilling races on the Slovakia Ring: The young riders of the Yamaha R3 bLU cRU Cup | Switzerland delivered exciting fights at the Yamaha Round

From June 2019 28th to 30th the third of six racing events of the R3 bLU cRU Cup | Switzerland took place at Slovakia Ring. The riders were supported by the R3 bLU cRU Cup | Switzerland team as well as YART, Pirelli and Valentinos at the Yamaha Round of the Yamaha Switzerland junior program.
With summer temperatures of up to 33 degrees and corresponding hot asphalt, the riders got to know the demanding race track during the training sessions and learnt to adapt to new riding conditions. On Friday the riders completed the qualifying. This resulted in the starting grid for the two races on Saturday and Sunday.
The field was completed by two wildcard riders: Road Racing legend Horst Saiger and former Supersport and Superbike racer Max Neukirchner were available as mentors and provided coaching for the young riders.
In two highly competitive races the young riders showed what they are capable of. Characterized by frequent changes of position, fair duels but also some injury-free crashes, the audience once again experienced racing action at a high level. The German-Brazilian Alan Kroh (15) of Team RR Randy Racing secured the first place on the podium in both races for the second and third time in a row. The second race on Sunday was marked by a breathtaking recovery by Alan Kroh and Tom Berçot (14), who caught up with the field from behind after a quick contact and following exit into the gravel. Stéphane Frossard (24) from Switzerland finished second in both races, Tom Berçot from France came out on third place twice. With 127 points each in the overall standings, Tom Berçot and Alan Kroh share the leading position. Team Badan Motos represented by Stéphane Frossard is third in the ranking.

The teams and riders are currently preparing for the next round of the cup which will take place from July 19th to 21th at the Automotodrom Brno, Czech Republic.
