ISO Quality Certification Again Recognizes High Marks for globegarden Childcare
Provider Impresses with Care Concept and Excellent Working Conditions
Zürich (ots)
The private childcare provider globegarden has once again voluntarily undergone multiple certifications and quality audits in 2023. Foremost among these is the successful re-certification of the ISO 9001 standard for systemic quality management, achieved again at the end of August. Acknowledgment was given to factors such as the motivation and qualification of employees, as well as the Early Childhood Education curriculum introduced by globegarden in the previous summer.
The ISO 9001 certification involves an external auditor conducting quality assessments on randomly selected childcare facilities as well as the administration of the childcare provider, all evaluated against a stringent, Europe-wide framework. The recent revision in August attests that the provider maintains effective and well-organized processes. Furthermore, employee qualifications and competencies were rated as excellent. This reflects both the remarkable commitment of employees and the highly motivating and appreciative work culture at globegarden.
Progressive Employment Conditions
As a recipient of the "Great Place to Work" award since 2021 and being recognized as one of the "Best Large Workplaces" in Switzerland and Europe in 2022, the childcare provider offers exceptionally progressive employment conditions to its over 1,000 employees across more than 60 centers. globegarden sets industry standards in areas such as compensation, social benefits, and work schedule flexibility. The provider also continues to invest in continuous training and development through the Early Childhood Education Academy, ensuring its employees are well-equipped to address the evolving needs of childcare.
In doing so, globegarden not only positions itself as an attractive employer and training ground but also actively contributes to addressing the significant shortage of skilled professionals in the industry. Presently, more than 210 apprentices are undergoing training, in addition to approximately 80 interns who are guaranteed an apprenticeship contract after successfully completing their probation period.
Proprietary Early Childhood Education Plan
Similar to 2022, this year also saw the pedagogical concept and the Early Childhood Education curriculum, featuring six educational domains-Art Around, Language Speaks, Math Rocks, Our World, Science Discover, and Well Aware-being rated as exemplary. Both aspects are unique within the industry. These programs ensure that each child can unfold individually, encountering a stimulating and supportive learning environment along with appropriately trained caregivers who promote their cognitive, emotional, and social development.
The recent certification report also commended the collaboration with parents, open and transparent communication, as well as the safety and cleanliness of individual childcare centers. The facilities offer secure and well-equipped play areas, age-appropriate and diverse toys aligned with the latest educational insights, and a hygienic environment.
"Empowering Families"
As globegarden approaches its 15th anniversary in August 2024, it remains the first childcare provider in Switzerland to introduce the ISO 9001 certification back in 2011. Since then, a comprehensive array of external and internal audits and quality assessments across various domains, including pedagogy, nutrition, and safety, have been added. The provider willingly and regularly subjects itself to these controls and audits, in addition to regulatory oversight, as was the case in the first months of this year.
Since its inception, the core focus of the provider has been facilitating the harmonious balance between family and work, particularly for working mothers. Therefore, globegarden emphasizes bilingual and pedagogically evaluated support, parent-friendly care hours, and attractive locations. Irrespective of the consistently high quality assessment, the provider continues to invest in quality, education, training, pedagogical programs, safety, and hygiene measures to provide children, their parents, and employees with the most progressive working and care conditions in the future.
