Exclusive interview with Chiara Rinaldi, COO at Sustainaccount

We are delighted to present today an interview with Chiara Rinaldi. She is one of the lucky winners of the Diversity Award on the SwissFinTechLadies Art and Start-up Night and Donors Gala. As COO of the company Sustainaccount she answered our questions.

What is your favourite project?

I'm passionate about sustainable development and leveraging business to solve societal issues. With Sustainaccount we aim at enabling thousands of buildings to become more resilient to climate change.

How did you get to where you are now? What is your position?

I have a background in business and started to focus on sustainability more than 15 years ago when only a few knew what I was talking about. Moving from the industry with the first attempts of sustainability reporting to sustainability consulting for medium and large companies, I acquired a broad skill set, which, merged with my business experience, allowed me to move to entrepreneurship. I'm now co-founder and COO of Sustainaccount.

Where do you want to be in 2 years with your commitment? What do you want to achieve next?

Two years from now, I see myself still at Sustainaccount, finding more ways to have a positive impact.

What attributes do you believe women need to possess to succeed in this finch, web4 finance industry?

There's no recipe for success and no particular attributes. You need to believe in what you are doing and go for it.

What traits should men possess to make collaboration between men and women a practice that makes the environment grow and encourages synchronicity?

In my view, positive collaboration among human beings, irrespective of gender or other differences, requires respect, willingness to listen, and an open mindset.
