Einhell Germany AG announces the following: The market environment has significantly worsen for the Einhell Group. The development of turnover und profit will be considerably affected by the effect of the international financial crisis in conjunction with the worldwide recession. Due to the current November figures as well as the emerging sales collapse in December the turnover in business year 2008 will be approx. 8 to 10% below the previous year. An exact forecast for the next month's business development is - based on the difficult surrounding conditions, in particular through the extreme rejections in the field of the worldwide currencies - not possible. The resulting influences on cost of sales and financial result cannot be reliably evaluated. The present market situation does not lead to the assumption of a fast relaxation of the market. So a reliable forecast for the business year 2009 can also not be made at present. Einhell Group has a very healthy and solid financing structure and a very good equity ratio. That's why the Board sees no difficulties to handle the financing of the current business as well as a business volume which might be growing again in the future. Because of this reason the Board keeps without any changes to the so far very successful and long-term-based international expansion strategy.
