sunrise launches comprehensive Internet web page dealing with 090x numbers

sunrise is leading the way in Switzerland with a new service to protect consumers against dialers and unwanted 090x connections, providing information to interested members of the public on a web page at www.sunrise.ch/0900 and sending out bill inserts to customers.
It happens so quickly: a click of the mouse to confirm, a keystroke in the wrong place - and before you know it, huge charges for Internet connections or phone calls to 090x numbers turn up on your monthly phone bill.
Now sunrise is taking steps to counteract this situation. A new and unique homepage at www.sunrise.ch/0900 provides comprehensive and clear information, answering questions such as:
- What are dialers and how do they generate such horrendous phone charges while we're surfing? - What do we need to watch out for when dialing premium rate numbers? - What kind of help and technical assistance can we get in the event that a dialer has already installed itself? - What is the legal situation and where can we find important links about security? - How can we get connections to these numbers blocked by sunrise?
