Rolf Dörig and Beat Hubacher will be proposed for election to the Banca del Gottardo Board of Directors at the general meeting of shareholders on 27 April 2006. They will replace Henry Peter and Martin Senn.
Henry Peter has been nominated for the Swiss Life Holding Board of Directors and will therefore leave the Banca del Gottardo Board of Directors, where he has served since 1994. Martin Senn will resign from the Board as he will leave effective 1 April 2006 Swiss Life to take a new position at Zurich Financial Services. Felix R. Ehrat, Chairman of the Board of Banca del Gottardo: "Henry Peter has been an excellent member of the Board of Directors over the past 12 years. His outstanding knowledge in the areas of financial markets and business law were of great value to the Bank, as was his work as Chairman of the Audit Committee during the recent past. Martin Senn as Chief Investment Officer and member of the Executive Board of Swiss Life made an important contribution to the close cooperation between Swiss Life and its Banking subsidiary. I would like to thank both of them for their outstanding contributions."
Rolf Dörig (49), CEO of the Swiss Life Group, and Beat W. Hubacher (51), Head of Group Compliance & Regulatory Affairs of the Swiss Life Group, will be proposed at the general meeting of shareholders for election as new members of the Board of Directors. Felix R. Ehrat: "Having Rolf Dörig and Beat Hubacher on the Board of Directors of Banca del Gottardo underscores the importance of our bank within the Swiss Life Group. It is a clear sign that Swiss Life will provide its subsidiary with full support in the implementation of the new strategy."
