Propack Data announces that Aventis, a
global leader in the Pharmaceutical industry, has selected its
Production Management solution ("PMX(tm)") as the Electronic Batch
Record system (EBR) for its Drug Product Plants on a global basis.
The roll out of the system will initially involve four plants located
in France, the United Kingdom, Germany and Japan. This decision
reinforces Propack Data's market leadership position in the
pharmaceutical industry for delivering compliant, collaborative, and
enterprise-wide solutions that can be deployed on a world-wide basis.Need - As the pharmaceutical industry undergoes a significant consolidation that involves mergers and acquisitions, many companies find it necessary to further improve their efficiency to maintain their leadership position, while maintaining FDA compliance requirements. Aventis has determined that it can achieve superior Returns On Investment by establishing a paperless environment across its manufacturing and packaging operations and leveraging that EBR system with other plant process systems.

Project - Aventis will deploy Propack Data's PMX(tm) Electronic Batch Record (EBR) solution to its Drug Product Operations. The project is broken down into two phases. Phase 1 will establish common business processes, design and validate a core configuration and set standards and policies for deployment. During Phase 2, the core system will be rolled out to 4 sites. Propack Data's PMX(tm) EBR solution will provide functional support in the following areas: master recipe management, warehouse management and material handling, weighing & dispensing, work instruction management and automated data collection from field devices.
